SafeWorld Website Privacy Policy
SafeWorld, Inc. (“SafeWorld,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) explains in this policy how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through www.safeworld.ai and other public SafeWorld pages that link to this policy, and through related enquiries and business communications. Personal information means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to a person.
The public Website provides information and a way to contact our team. Our sales and marketing efforts are currently directed to the United States. The Website does not offer public access to the SafeWorld product. This policy does not govern customer-controlled information that we process on a customer's behalf in separately contracted products or services. That processing is governed by the applicable agreement, data processing terms, and relevant notices. This policy does apply to ordinary business contact information used to manage enquiries and relationships. It does not change product data rights, model-training terms, or confidentiality obligations under a separate agreement, or limit rights provided by law.
1 Who is responsible and how to contact us
SafeWorld, Inc. is responsible for the processing described in this policy and acts as controller where that term applies.
Privacy enquiries and requests: gtm@safeworld.ai
Mailing address: 117 University Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94301, United States
You may also use the Website contact form to request that our privacy contact get in touch. Please include only the information needed to explain your request. Do not send an identity document or sensitive information unless we request it through an appropriate secure channel.
2 Information we collect and where it comes from
Information you provide. When you contact us or request a demonstration, we collect the details you submit, such as your name, work email address, company, and message. We also receive information included in follow-up correspondence, such as your role, telephone number, business needs, and communication preferences if you choose to provide them. Not every item is required by the Website form.
Professional introductions. We may receive business contact details and the context of an enquiry from a colleague, your employer, or someone introducing you to SafeWorld. We use this information for the relevant business conversation. Please ensure you are entitled to share another person's information with us.
Recruiting enquiries. If you contact us about employment, we receive the information you choose to provide, which may include contact details, a résumé, employment and education history, and professional links. A separate applicant notice, if provided, governs the processing it describes. This Website policy does not cover employee records.
Information collected when the Website loads or is used. Our hosting and other providers receive technical information needed to deliver and protect their services, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, dates and times, and security or error information. Website measurement may include pages viewed, referring websites, campaign information, general geographic location derived from technical information, and interactions with Website features. The Cookies and similar technologies section explains the different tools and choices.
We also keep form-delivery records, such as submission identifiers, timestamps, and delivery status, to route enquiries reliably and prevent duplicate notifications.
We do not ask you to provide government identification numbers, payment-card details, health information, precise location, or other sensitive personal information through ordinary Website enquiries. Please do not include such information, or confidential customer or product data, in a general contact form.
3 How we use information
We use personal information to respond to requests; arrange demonstrations and meetings; understand business needs; maintain contact records and follow up on relevant conversations; evaluate recruiting enquiries; operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Website; understand Website use; manage communication preferences and privacy requests; and comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We use Website enquiries to reply and follow up about the enquiry. We do not automatically add people who submit an enquiry to newsletters or marketing campaigns. If you no longer want follow-up messages, reply to the message or contact us at the privacy email above. We may still respond to a new request you make or send necessary administrative or legal communications.
Submitting a contact form is not consent to optional analytics or a blanket agreement to receive marketing. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, company field contents, or message text to Google Analytics through our Website event tracking.
4 Legal bases where European or UK law applies
When the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on a legal basis appropriate to the activity. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our Website, responding to professional enquiries, developing business relationships, and managing recruiting conversations, after considering the impact on individuals. We rely on consent for optional Google Analytics and for marketing where consent is required. Where you personally seek to enter a contract with us, necessary processing to take steps at your request may rely on that basis. We rely on legal obligations where processing is required by law and, where appropriate, legitimate interests in establishing or defending legal claims.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you have an unconditional right to object to processing for direct marketing. Providing enquiry information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond or arrange a meeting without sufficient contact details. We do not use information within this policy's scope to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5 How we disclose information
We disclose information to personnel and providers who need it for the activities described here. These include website hosting and delivery providers, enquiry-routing services, customer relationship management providers, email and workplace communication providers, analytics providers, and professional advisers. Current Website arrangements include Framer for hosting and forms, Day.ai for managing enquiries, Slack for internal enquiry notifications, and Google Analytics for optional measurement. An enquiry-routing service transfers form submissions to the relevant systems. Sending a form can therefore create copies in more than one business system.
Providers process information under the arrangements that apply to their services. Third-party services you choose to interact with, such as YouTube, may also process information for their own purposes under their privacy policies. We do not represent that every third party acts only on our instructions.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect people or systems, investigate misuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights. Information may also be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law. We may make other disclosures at your direction or with your consent.
6 Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage and similar technologies can also remember choices or support website functions. Different services on this Website operate separately.
Google Analytics. Our optional Google Analytics integration loads after you choose “I agree” in the analytics banner. It measures visits and interactions with Website features. Choose “I disagree” to keep this integration off. You can change your choice through “Analytics” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future Google Analytics collection by our integration; it does not automatically erase information already lawfully collected by Google.
Preference storage. We use the local-storage entry sw.analytics.choice.v1 to remember your analytics choice. Our Website treats the choice as valid for up to 183 days, unless you change it or clear browser storage. This preference storage is separate from Google Analytics cookies.
Google cookies. After consent, Google Analytics can use cookies such as _ga and _ga_<identifier> to distinguish browsers and maintain visit information. Our integration configures the cookie lifetime to 183 days; cookies may be renewed during later use, and browser settings can shorten their life. Cookie lifetime is not the same as the period for which analytics information is retained in a provider's systems.
Framer measurement and delivery. Framer provides website delivery and its own Website measurement separately from Google Analytics. Framer describes its built-in analytics as not using cookies. The “Analytics” control manages our Google Analytics integration; it does not disable hosting logs, security processing, or Framer's separate measurement. See Framer's Privacy Statement for its practices. Loading externally hosted resources, such as fonts, also sends technical connection information to the resource provider.
YouTube and other external services. When you open an embedded YouTube video, your browser connects to Google or YouTube and can disclose technical and viewing information. The player may use cookies or other storage, and its operation is not controlled by our Google Analytics preference. Third-party providers, including Google, may collect information about activity over time and across different websites or services, depending on the services used and your settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for its practices and controls.
Browser settings can block or delete cookies and other stored data, but doing so may reset your choices or affect features. Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on offers an additional browser control. Choices generally apply to the browser and device where you make them.
7 Advertising and browser privacy signals
We do not sell or rent contact lists, give contact details to other companies for their own marketing, or run advertising that follows Website visitors across other websites. The analytics and video-provider disclosures described above are separate from those activities.
The Website does not currently use Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals to set the Google Analytics preference. Use the “Analytics” link to control that integration. This statement does not limit any right to opt out that applicable law gives you.
8 How long we retain information
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purposes, taking account of the type and sensitivity of information, the nature and duration of our relationship, legal requirements, security needs, and applicable limitation periods. The criteria differ by category:
| Information category | Retention criteria |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not become customer relationships | Delete 12 months after the last contact, unless a legal obligation, dispute, or other applicable legal exception requires longer retention. Necessary records for an ongoing customer relationship are retained under the criteria above and applicable agreements. |
| Recruiting correspondence | The recruitment process and related legal requirements; any future-opportunity use must have an appropriate basis and applicable notice. |
| Technical logs, form-delivery records, and security records | Reliable delivery, duplicate prevention, operational and security needs, investigation of incidents, and applicable legal requirements. |
| Analytics information | Measurement needs and the retention settings in the relevant analytics service; cookie lifetimes alone do not determine these periods. |
| Consent, opt-out, and privacy request records | The time needed to respect your choices, demonstrate compliance, and resolve related issues. A limited suppression record may be kept to avoid contacting you again. |
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it, subject to lawful retention requirements and backup handling. A deletion request may need to be applied across our enquiry, communication, and other relevant systems. Information retained for a legal hold or another applicable exception is limited to that purpose.
9 International processing
SafeWorld is based in the United States. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where the relevant operations are located. Those countries may have different data protection laws from your own.
10 Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, the nature of the information, and whether the relevant law applies to SafeWorld, you may have rights to confirm processing; access or receive a copy of information; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; obtain information in a portable format; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information; and opt out of a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where those activities occur. You may also have a right to appeal a refusal and to complain to a relevant regulator. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
To make a request, email the privacy contact above or ask to reach our privacy contact through the Website form. Tell us the right you wish to exercise and enough information to identify the relevant interaction. For requests that require verification, we may request proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority, as permitted by law. We do not require identity verification for sale or sharing opt-out requests. We do not require you to create an account solely to submit a request. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any permitted refusal or extension.
Where an appeal right applies, reply to our decision or email the privacy contact with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will review the decision and explain the result and any further complaint route required by law. In the EEA or UK, you can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner's Office without first contacting us.
For California residents, the collection, sources, purposes, recipient categories, and retention criteria relevant to Website information are described in Sections 2, 3, 5, and 8. They include identifiers and contact information, professional information, correspondence, and internet or other electronic network activity. These disclosures do not mean that every California statutory right applies to every business or interaction. Nothing in this policy reduces an applicable statutory right.
11 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive or confidential material through general Website forms and contact us if you believe information has been exposed through misuse of the Website.
12 Children
The Website is directed to adults acting in a business or professional capacity, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through the Website. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice or seek consent when required by law. An update does not by itself authorize a materially different use of previously collected information where additional notice or consent is required.
For questions about this policy or our privacy practices, contact gtm@safeworld.ai.
